The 2008-09 Celtic FC away jersey really changes the normal look we are used to when thinking of their jersey colors. We are all familiar with their green and white hooped look, but their new version of their away version looks like something you would see Brazil wear as it’s a completely yellow jersey with their sponsor logo Carling in the full front in a black background to make it stand out. Now this type of change is similar to a team doing a 360 by going away from their normal home and away jersey and introducing a all black third jersey to change things up. In fact, Celtic had an all green away jersey as soon as 2007-08 but made the change in 2008 to change things up and change is exactly what they did. This brand new away jersey isn’t something we don’t like, but it’s a change in jersey colors we aren’t used to by a soccer club with deep history in their club green and white colors so for them to make this type of soccer jersey change is like England changing their away jersey to an all black jersey, you don’t expect it to happen and when it does you’re just in shock.
