Real Madrid is a team that is injury depleted and in need of a jolt to their record if they have hopes to catch Primera Division leaders Barcelona. Well they already have started bolstering their lineup by the signing of Lassana Diarra formerly of Portsmouth and it’s no surprise to hear that Manchester City was another team that was interested in his services as we’ve told you that City looks to sign every big name they can for the January transfer window. Diarra seems happy to be going to Real Madrid as he was quoted as saying, “When you talk about Real Madrid the other teams are no longer important, all the others take second place,” said Diarra. “It would be a dream to be able to play for such a large club.” Well he has his dream fulfilled now, all that needs to happen is him coming back 100% from his ankle surgery so that he can be counted on being the midfielder he once was and perhaps Madrid can be back to the team they once were.

Real Madrid fans have to be extremely happy with this signing as their season could be on the upswing after the Christmas break. Will this be the only signing Real Madrid makes? We don’t think so as this club is too proud to be this far down in the Spanish Primera Liga and they should be looking for a forward to help put some goals in the back of the net as their newly formed midfield starts to help distribute the ball better to them.
