Portland Timbers Add Renewable Energy Sponsor to Their Jerseys

Although they won’t play in Major League Soccer until 2011, the Portland Timbers have a sponsor for their home and away soccer jerseys. SolarWorld will be the main sponsor on the Timbers soccer jerseys and the company will be the very first ever U.S. pro soccer sponsor by a renewable-energy company.

The Great Looking 2010 Croatia Away Soccer Jersey

As always Croatia has a great looking soccer jersey and Nike did it again with their 2010 away jersey. The reason why we like the Croatia soccer jersey so much is they always have a unique checker pattern with their National team colors and each time it’s done to perfection. This time around the body of the jersey has a two tone royal blue color checker design while the sleeves have a red and white checker design. Too many checker boxes you might be thinking? Not at all, the jersey is just laid out so well we think this Croatian soccer jersey looks perfect.

The front of the jersey features the Nike Swoosh along with the Croatia National federation emblem on the left chest and the rounded collar almost gets overlooked since it’s royal blue just like the body of the jersey, if you remember past versions had the collar being red. Other then that little design flaw, we think this is a must have soccer jersey to wear. Although the Croatia soccer team won’t be participating in South Africa this summer, we still think this is one of the best soccer jerseys to come out this year and it’s a shame the team couldn’t play as well as this jersey looks.

The Black Poland 2010 Away Soccer Jersey

We really love the new Poland away soccer jersey that the team will wear during the 2010-11 seasons. Unlike the Mexico and Germany black World Cup jerseys, we think Nike did a great job by adding red and white within this Polish away national team jersey. The body of the jersey is all black along with the national team embroidered emblem and a gold embroidered Nike swoosh on the opposite side. The sleeves are a red and white combo looks fantastic so we are glad they added color, if they left the entire jersey all black, it would have shown no imagination at all.

The only thing we found wrong with the Polish soccer jersey is that it won’t be seen during the World Cup this summer since Poland didn’t qualify. This official Poland National Team jersey is made of a lightweight airy mesh fabric so even though it’s black and will attract the sun, it won’t keep in the added body sweat and make it uncomfortable to wear. While you won’t see this soccer jersey in South Africa this summer, we still think it’s a jersey worth purchasing if you are looking for a great jersey to wear.

Denmark adidas World Cup Jersey Has Quite a Different Design

We’ve showed you quite a few adidas World Cup jerseys for the 2010 tournament and we have to say the Denmark home soccer jersey is quite different then the classic designs from the other teams. The jersey overall is a great looking red body jersey with the adidas three stripes that start from the fold over collar and stop and restart again and end at the bottom of each sleeve. As with the other jerseys, the adidas embroidered logo is in the center chest while the Denmark national team crest is on the left chest.

Now what makes this Denmark adidas soccer jersey different then the other designs is the faded broken white line design in the full front area of the jersey. It’s not necessarily a bad design since leaving the jersey all red would be boring, but perhaps a solid white stripe would have been a better choice. Overall, this jersey is worth purchasing and with a win over Japan in their group we think we’ll see this Danish Dynamite soccer jersey in the second round of the World Cup.

Switzerland 2010 World Cup Soccer Jerseys

With a poor start in their qualifying campaign, Switzerland almost didn’t make it to the World Cup, but we are happy they did because we really like the Puma Switzerland soccer jersey. It’s just a crowded look and we wish Puma would have opted to keep their logos on the sleeve or perhaps put the S.F.F. on the sleeve to make the jersey layout better.
