The recently released West Ham United 2009 home jersey is available and it had a checkerboard look to it which gives it one of the most unique styles for this season. This Official West Ham United Away has a look to it that reminds us what soccer jerseys looked like in the 80’s and we have to say, we aren’t big fans of the Hammers new away jersey. This jersey looks exactly like the 1980 Umbro checkerboard shorts that were worn by teams all over the world and the look was bad then and it certainly doesn’t look in today’s style either.

Fans that do purchase the jersey will be happy to know you will still be comfortable in the jersey since it uses Umbro’s innovative Climate Control technology, a state-of-the-art fabric, which enhances the movement of moisture away from the body, allowing for increased performance. With that being a major plus, you still have to wear the jersey in public and we really wouldn’t wear this jersey out to watch a West Ham game unless we were locked in our house without any visitors. We try to give every jersey a chance to grow on us, but we have to pass and leave this to the faithful Hammer fans to purchase.
