The last time Barcelona wore a green soccer jersey was in the 1993/94 season and we are still trying to get grasp the idea that this is actually a Barcelona soccer jersey, in fact when we first saw the jersey on footballshirtculture.com we didn’t think this was an actual FC Barcelona jersey. The green color is different in itself, but adding the blue and deep red team colors along with the green really make this an unusual color combination. Their 2009-10 peach colored jersey took us some time to get used to, but the jersey was all one color and after watching them wear it on the field we started to like the jersey more and more each time they wore them.

Now if this new away jersey was a solid green jersey along with the team badge, Nike swoosh and team sponsor we would right away say it’s a catchy looking jersey but the blue and red just don’t belong and for that we can’t say it’s a must buy jersey for us. We know it will still be a huge seller because the team is a top flight team worldwide and soccer fans will want to wear the jersey just to be different and stand out from their friends wearing an older model jersey. If we had to choose a design for their away kit, we would have gone with a all blue jersey which keeps the teams colors and it steers away from the shock value each time you see it being worn.
