Real Madrid Soccer Jersey Sales Fall in 2010 Season
Mar 11th, 2010 | By admin | Category: Soccer Jersey NewsWhat was to be a magical season with the major spending for top players to wear the Real Madrid soccer jersey, we are learning that their jersey sales are actually declining. When the jerseys for Los Blancos came out, we immediately thought they were an improvement over their kits from the previous season, but the Spanish fans are buying them. According to an article from Timeslive.co.za, they are stating that the recession in Spain along with adidas saying those replica soccer jerseys aren’t as popular in Spain as they are in England.
Well I can agree that a recession in a country can curb your spending, but when you have some of the top soccer players in the world on one team at the same time, I can’t buy the fact that jerseys aren’t that popular in Spain. This past summer brought Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Karim Benzema to Santiago Bernabeu so the first thought would be that this would be the most popular professional soccer jersey to purchase, but that never happened.
Now that the team is out of the Champions League in what most would call a early exit, the fans in Madrid that didn’t have their favorite team’s jersey to wear will mostly likely not be purchasing one to help stop the decline in sales this season.
