With the Confederations Cup starting on June 14th, a few teams have come out with jerseys that are being debuted for this tournament and one of those happens to be the Italy Confederations Cup Jersey made by Puma. The one thing we noticed about the Italian Confederations Cup national team soccer jersey is that it has one major change then other home jerseys won in the past.

What we didn’t like about the 2009 Italian Confederations Cup home jersey goes back to our article on how we said the US national team needed to form an identity and have a jersey they would be recognized by? Well we think we have the right to say that the jersey being worn by the Italians goes a little outside the box by using a different color for the body of the jersey, a blue we aren’t used to seeing them wearing. This jersey is a sky blue, a color I can’t remember them wearing and I have to say we were a little disappointed as they took an overall great looking jersey and making a big switch on us. If Puma had kept the royal blue color we are all used to, we would have given them our 100% backing on this jersey as it’s otherwise a great looking jersey.

As with every Italian national team home jersey, they look is basically simple and classic looking and this jersey isn’t any different. The one big additive flair in the jersey is the Italia/4-star pattern within the entire body of the jersey to commemorate Italy’s success in the World Cup. Some might say it’s a bit over the top by adding this but when you are looking at it in your hands, the pattern really looks good and we are sure it will look good while watching the team on TV during this tournament. The jersey is very lightweight and there are ventilation panels on both sides of the jersey which is great feeling especially during the summer months.

Overall, this Italy Confederations Cup jersey is one we would recommend to purchase this summer and we are sure you will really enjoy this jersey if you can look past the sky blue color.
